A Quantum of Gravitas

This is a game about the Culture, a utopian pan-human society of pleasure and fulfilment created by Iain M. Banks.

But it is not set there.

Instead, we find ourselves an agent of Special Circumstances, the elite of the elite in a system which abhors elitism. Agents of SC are those who work towards the Culture's goals in secrecy, going outside the Culture's usual moral framework and values in order to preserve the very same. On a backwater planet to destabilise the production of a vital resources, or the hub of a rival military power's Orbital to subtly direct its wargames, you will use seduction, wits and overwhelming technological superiority to complete your mission.

You are equipped with a number of Resources and Skills to achieve your goals. To complete a task which might see you discovered, you will roll a number of d6s. If the Gravitas dice roll higher than the Skill dice, the situation worsens. Get the job done and get out before you are killed, or worse.
